very enjoyable stay at this hotel, staff and location very good. Would have liked tea or coffee making facilities in room as we like to make a drink when we come in before getting ready to go out.

There is no free parking at the hotel; however there is an underground carpark at about £9 per 24 hours.
Top Tip
Museums are a bargain to visit especially the Archeology musuem about 1/2 mile from hotel. Restaurant meals are expensive as are drinks. However if you go away from centre pubs are cheaper.

Simple room but very clean (esp. bathroom), good breakfast - still serving after a lie-in - nice lobby / bar area, English TV channels.
Top Tip
Use the discount card the hotel give you when you check in - show it everywhere you have to pay to get in!!

Brugge is a wonderful place, this is our 8th time and we never get tired of it. If you think Paris is romantic, try Brugge in December!!
Top Tip
Just get a good street map and good guide book. We have not found a bad restaurant yet, but try to stay away from the ones in the market square (where the ice rink is),as they tend to be over priced due to location. Beer pricey, but beware, most bars were charging 8 euros (some 10 - Rembrant near the market square) for a gin and tonic or bicardi and coke - stick to beer or wine.

Whilst the hotel was ok for an Ibis we were not given a double bed as requested, the hotel wasn't exactly busy at the time and we were told that they were fully booked, there were no more than 20 people at breakfast and there were over 150 rooms!!!
Top Tip
book direct with the hotel, you will be treated better.

If using Brussels Charleroi Airport travel to Bruges on the coach - 2hr journey saves hassle of changing train although more expensive.
