Named after the bookprinter who introduced the art to Bruges, the Jan Brito Hotel is housed in a 16th century listed building, with a carefully preserved façade and a sensitively refurbished interior featuring marble mantelpieces, paintings and an oak staircase.
The 36 cosy guestrooms are traditionally appointed and feature 16th-century oak beams. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The rooms vary from the budget Maid's room, the standard Knight rooms right up to the Duchess Rooms, unique garden suites. All bedrooms have the usual set of facilities including hairdryer, telephone, television and mini bar. Wi-fi internet access is available throughout the hotel and is free of charge.
Guests can relax in the lounge, with its 16th century black marble mantelpiece and 19th century religious paintings, or dream away the afternoon in the Renaissance garden, beneath the shade of a huge beech tree. The hotel offers a Continental buffet breakfast every morning in the magnificent chandelier room.
