The Anselmus Hotel is one of the most beautiful family-run properties in Bruges.
It is housed in an elegant, 17th century, step-fronted building, which retains much of its original charm. The lobby and other public areas are traditionally appointed with reproduction old master paintings, rich blue walls and age-effect woodwork. The 10 spacious guestrooms are decorated in two different styles: those on the upper floors feature cream walls with blue fleur-de-lys, while others feature red and gold striped fabrics. The neat en suite bathrooms are enhanced by pink, granite-effect, stone-acrylic basins. The hotel offers a hearty breakfast of bread, toast, cereals, cheese, meat, yoghurt, fresh fruit, fresh boiled egg and juice in the more contemporary breakfast room. During the summer months guests can also enjoy breakfast in the small garden.
