very convenient for most of bruges culture and in quiet cobbled street. Trendy beige and grey decor was a bit gloomy and bare floorboards were atmospheric. Hotel was warm and simple.Excellent breakfast with fruit eggs and lots of croissants and decent coffee. staff helpful..
Top Tip
Bruges is full of museums and churches -do'nt miss the memling museum.
Also has more calories per sq metre than any other town in Europe- every other shop is a chocolate shop (and most of the rest sell lace...)

You cannot expect every modern luxury in a building as old as this but in general the facilities were well maintained and within expectations. When we reported a leak from our ceiling everything was fixed within a few hours. Breakfast was typical continental buffet but generally excellent value for money for 4 of us. The only detraction for us was the amount of road noise at night which the windows did little to filter out, and the mosquito!
Top Tip
Loads of local restaurants - try and move away from Markt and t'Zand into some of the back streets to find some excellent gems.
